Your first visitWear what you feel most comfortable being examined in. Tight trousers or skirts can hamper examination so are best avoided. Your first visit will last between 25 and 40 mins. You will need to fill out a form briefly detailing your general medical history. The chiropractor will ask questions about your current condition and any previous chiropractic related problems. A physical examination is then conducted to establish the cause of your pain and see if past problems might be linked with the current one. If required, an x-ray is taken at this stage to further understand your condition as well as rule out spinal pathology. Finally you will be given a diagnosis and an explanation of your treatment plan. If x-rays are taken they need to be developed and interpreted before your diagnosis is given. |
